ESD Curriculum Coordinator - EES/EMS Assistant Principal

I am excited that school year 2018-2019 will be my twelfth year with Enterprise School District and my fifteenth year in k-12 education. This year will be my fourth year serving the students and teachers of ESD as the Curriculum, Professional Development, and Textbook Coordinator. In addition, I was recently named the Assistant Principal of Enterprise Elementary and Enterprise Middle School. This is a position that I am extremely excited about. I anxiously look forward to this new endeavor, and having the ability to help lead these schools toward continued and growing success. It is my ultimate goal to help create and nurture a positive, collaborative, encouraging, and supportive school culture on these two campuses and assist the principals, teachers, students, and parents in achieving the ESD mission and vision. I consider myself very blessed to have the opportunity to work in such an amazing district!

A Little About Myself:

I grew up in a very small town called Moss and attended elementary, middle, and high school at Stringer Attendance Center. I have always enjoyed school and I knew from a young age that I wanted to pursue a career in education. After high school, I attended Jones County Junior College where I received my Associate in Arts degree. Then I enrolled at The University of Southern Mississippi to work towards and complete a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mathematics.

I began my teaching career at Heidelberg Academy where I taught Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, Trigonometry, and Calculus. After completing my second year of teaching, I moved to West Jones High School and taught Algebra I classes. Finally, I found my way to Enterprise! I taught eighth grade Pre Algebra for eight years before accepting my current position.

During my time at Enterprise, I have taken advantage of opportunities to further my own education. In August of 2011, I earned a Master of Education degree in Curriculum and Instruction from The University of Southern Mississippi. In July of 2017, I earned an Educational Specialist Degree in Administration from Mississippi State University.

I am married to Rick Guy, a Certified Athletic Trainer for Rush Foundation Hospital. We have two daughters, Faith and Jacey, and two puppies, Moxie and Wrigley. My family and I live at Lake Eddins in Pachuta.
