After almost 40 years in education, Rita Windham, Superintendent of Enterprise School District is retiring.  Mrs. Windham began her career with the West Jasper School District where she taught at Bay Springs Middle School for 18 years.  She came to Enterprise School District in 1995 and over the years she served the district as teacher, SPED Director, Federal Programs Director, District Test Coordinator and Curriculum Coordinator.  She assumed the role of Superintendent in 2011.

Mrs. Windham stated, “During my time at Enterprise School District, I  have been fortunate enough to accomplish many career goals.  My greatest achievement, however, has been improving the academic achievement of the district.  During my tenure as Superintendent, Enterprise School District has improved in all areas of state testing and maintained a Level 5 rating.  This is greatly due to efficient and effective teachers led by excellent administrators and an awesome student body.  Over the past 22 years, I have worked with some of the best educators in the state.  For this reason, ESD will continue to succeed and accomplish great things.  I wish only the best for Enterprise School District in the future and will always consider myself a part of the Bulldog family.”
