Experience

Before becoming a teacher, I spent a 17 year career as an Engineer and my specialty was VLSI Design (microelectronics - working in the design of micro computer chips).   I LOVED that career until I started having babies late in life and began teaching Geometry and Algebra in 2001 (a much better MOM job!)    One cool fact - Back in the early 80's I was on a microchip design team on a very early U.S. release of Donkey Kong.  I have to say, at the time I was disappointed, because I thought I was designing a chip for NASA.   But over the years my students seem more impressed with the video game accomplishment! But, I've NEVER actually  PLAYED Donkey Kong! LOL!

Bio

I have been very happily married to Rick Lewis since 1992.  My daughter Amy is a Junior at Ole Miss Studying Elementary Education!

I LOVE THE respectful sweet nature of the EHS students and their outstanding academic abilities.  This is a great place to teach!

Interesting fact:   I've lived in 8 states including Washington State, Wyoming, New York, California, North Carolina, Texas, Louisiana, and of course Mississippi.  I also lived for 18 months in the south of France and have had the opportunity to travel to 8 foreign countries.   One thing I really wish for my students is that they travel and see the world.
