I began my teaching career as a kindergarten teacher's assistant at Calvary Christian School the year my daughter began school. When Katie transferred to Enterprise in the third grade, I made the decision to get a "real" teaching degree, as Katie and I called it.
I began teaching at Enterprise in 2006, and first taught Career and Computer. Then I transfered to the Special Education department in 2012, where my work with these students is the most rewarding job a person could have. I love my children and their parents.
This year, I will be taking on a new venture with teaching special education in the elementary school.

I have always heard that life will take you full circle, and I am living proof of this. I graduated from Enterprise in 1975, left, married, had two teriffic children, Katie and Thomas Jay. Then, continued the family tradition and as it is said--the rest is history!  Katie and Thomas both graduated from EHS. I came back to what I refer to as home, and began my teaching career. I was born and raised in Meehan, so I call Enterprise my second home. Along with a second home, you have a second set of parents which in my case Mr. Jimmy and Ms. Edna Lee Helms are  my second mama and daddy.  Enterprise is what you can call a little town with a big heart.
