Bio

My name is Kayla Moore, and I am a fourth grade Mathematics teacher at Enterprise Elementary School. I graduated from Arkansas State University with a Master of Science in Education-Educational Theory and Practice degree.  I also obtained a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education degree from Mississippi State University, during which I was selected to receive the Gary Benton Most Outstanding Undergraduate Award. Additionally, I graduated Magna Cum Laude with a MSU GPA of 4.0 and an overall GPA of 3.72. I also hold Associate Degrees from Jones County Junior College and Meridian Community College.  My upcoming goal includes achieving National Board Certification.
Personal hobbies of mine include spending time with my husband and two boys, playing/coaching sports, and crafting. I enjoy interacting with and teaching young children, which is why I chose education as my professional career. I believe that teaching ventures beyond classroom instruction: a teacher must invest in his/her students and encourage them to succeed both inside and outside of the classroom. My educational philosophy can be summarized by a quote from an unknown author: “Childhood is not a race to see how quickly a child can read, write, and count. Childhood is a small window of time to learn and develop at the pace which is right for each individual child.” My ultimate desire is to afford each child the tools necessary to become successful in his or her own unique way and inspire them to achieve their dreams.

The mediocre teacher tells. The good teacher explains. The
superior teacher demonstrates. The great teacher INSPIRES! –
